Overlock JANOME is an easy-to-use metal 3, 4-thread overlock with practical functions,
which will help you professionally finish and hem the edges of any sewn fabric.
The following stitches are available in the overlock:
4-thread overlock - the strongest stitch - perfect for joining and simultaneously overcasting the edges of sewn materials, e.g. leggings, T-shirts, sweatshirts.
It will also be a suitable stitch for overcasting the edges of seams of any fabric, especially those that fray heavily.
- 3-thread overlock - perfect for protecting edges from fraying. Suitable for more delicate materials that do not require additional reinforcement.
- 3-thread rolled - ideal for aesthetic finishing of edges of thin and medium materials and for overcasting the edges of very thin materials, e.g. chiffon and other materials that fray a lot.
- 3-thread rolled (hemstitch) - perfect for finishing the edges of thin materials in summer skirts, dresses, women's and children's blouses.
The knobs for adjusting the thread tension, stitch length and width, and the ability to set the cutting width of the sewn material will help you achieve the perfect stitches offered by the overlock.
It has a clear, colorful threading system and a thread guide diagram that shows exactly where the threads should be led so that the overlocker is threaded correctly. This is a great convenience, especially if this is your first contact with the overlocker.
When sewing stretchable, elastic materials, a very useful function will be the adjustment of the differential mechanism. Setting the appropriate value with the knob will allow you to avoid problems with stretching the material during sewing or will allow you to feed it in intentionally. When sewing more difficult materials, such as denim, jeans, fleece, or lighter, more delicate ones, such as chiffon, georgette, batiste, the function of adjusting the presser foot pressure may be very helpful.
